How Do I Work?

My practice is based on a person-centred foundation that places you as the expert of your own life and experiences. Upon that, I often work with systemic and systematic issues, from family dynamics to societal issues.

I bring my lived experiences, my knowledge, and my therapy experience, and you bring your lived experiences, your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and everything that makes you you. And together we work towards your goals for our therapy.

My goal is to help you live authentically to you, and empower you to make the changes you want for your life.

What Can You Expect?

Sessions typically last 60 minutes. Our first session will involve us forming a contract together to establish expectations.

Initial Chat

I offer an initial chat for both us to get a sense of the other person and if we'll work well together. This usually lasts 15-30 minutes.

The most important aspect for successful therapy is finding a therapist that works for you. For some people, having a therapist share a personal understanding of their situation is helpful, while for others it might hinder the work.
